- We cannot discount the possibility that the M7.6 quake is a foreshock of an even larger quake in the coming hours and days. Before the 2011/3/11 quake there were significant quakes on 3/9 (M7.3) and 3/10 (M6.8) before the big one. People in the area need to remain vigilant.
