Happy to announce I had the privilege to be the lead translator for Amatsutsumi, covering the main story ladder arcs for all characters, including Hotaru's ending. It's my first major translation project to be released, and it was a lot of fun to work on! Hope you all enjoy!
Amatsutsumi is releasing next Friday on July 29th! Wishlist it now on the Sekai Project shop! buff.ly/3yZXEI4

I looked up the original article, it blames American "wokeness" and cites sankakucomplex, which cites the federalist, which mis-cites KnY all-time sales as yearly and mis-cites sales for top 750 graphic novel & trade paperback sales in bookstores as the entire American market

UPDATE!!! the girl is named "Latina" because of AI I repeat, the girl is named "Latina" because of AI

this tweet really needs a community note... "Latina" is the girl's name, not her ethnic/cultural identity (the jp marketing blurb for the book just says she's "from a foreign country"), and yet I see hundreds of QRTs taking this mistranslated title at face value
New Latina Romcom "The Dark Brown Latina Girl Is Aiming For My Body" LN by Kiraku Kishima & Oryou Youth Romcom about an ordinary high school boy (well, maybe with a higher sex drive than usual) is helping out a foreign Latina girl in trouble. Grateful this super cheeful girl

it's a sarcastic imitation of how a lot of people talk about all-female bands

context: she thought it meant "handwritten". At the end she reads a japanese comment saying "it's a forbidden word" (meaning a word you usually don't want to say on air). btw here's what her letter looked like in the end:

this is apparently false, he actually beat all of them tabletmag.com/sections/news/… (sorry if that was obvious and part of the joke)

lol, they finally did it they finally said "fuck it" and shat out a straight-up MTL'd anime episode on their service that they charge money for I guess after all these years saving a whole $80/episode on translator pay was too mouth-watering a proposition to resist any longer
Woof, not sure what happened here but Crunchyroll's subtitles for The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons are straight-up unprofessional. 4 out of 5 sentences don't have punctuation, overly literal translation that mixes up possessives. It's a mess.

the original comic is saying that while artists tend to feel bad when comparing their skill to other artists, the fans of what they are drawing are just happy to see lots of art of their favorite characters/series/whatever

OP's version takes a more cynical slant, showing that people who don't like that character/series/etc. will come and complain about the art anyway regardless of whether the artist is skilled or not
