Lapis, an Adams Morgan restaurant founded by Afghan immigrants, is collecting much-needed supplies for Afghan refugees. The Popal family posted a list of suggested donations on their Instagram: instagram.com/p/CSsp-bEDn3a/…
Also, if you’ve never dined at @LapisDC, you’re missing out.
Went to a patio in Navy Yard tonight, and shocked/disappointed in the number of people walking around without masks, especially those coming into restaurants without them. Shows a marked disrespect for the people working at those bars, and their families. Do better, people.
Exciting/long-awaited news: 18th Street NW between Columbia and Kalorama roads is going to turn into a pedestrian zone one Sunday per month. Closure dates are Aug. 21, Sept. 4 and Oct. 23, between noon and 10 p.m. Zone will be operated by Adams Morgan BID.
I kind of don't want to tell you about this spot because it only has around 20 seats, but it's the coolest place I've been to in a while. 600 T is a snug basement cocktail bar with solid drinks, a chill vibe, and live jazz every Thursday from 8-11.
