    Ben Franklin has started puppy kindergarten at MasterPeace Dog Training and is spending his day shift patrolling the halls of the Police Station looking for people who need hugs.

    Merry Christmas from Ben Franklin and the FPD! Ben is home enjoying his day off today and celebrating ( by napping ). Ben says thank you to everyone who sent him a gift, and everyone who has wished him good health ( and criminal rehabilitation ) in the new year!

    Therapy dogs are used to comfort people who have been involved in a trauma, or stressful event. They can also help de-escalate situations, and bring a calming presence to a scene. Ben's training is being generously donated by @MasterPeaceDog of Franklin.

    Highly trained police K9s can smell and recognize up to 13 substances including: bath salts, meth, marijuana, cocaine, and opioids. Ben’s sniffing certifications include: peanut butter & jelly sandwiches

    ***Update on missing 15-year-old Jazlyn Rodrigues*** Jazlyn Rodrigues, a 15-year-old Franklin, MA resident who has been missing since October 10th was found safe this afternoon. She is being reunited with her family. No further information is available at this time.

    Nick Gaspar is a 8th grade student at the Horace Mann Middle School who is passionate about sports, namely basketball and lacrosse. Nick was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and needs all the support and well wishes he can get. Stay strong Nick! #1NICKSTONG18
