One of my first jobs in the VFX industry was animating this amazing character for his first #SEGA standalone video game. Twenty years later, I could not feel more HONORED to bring SHADOW to the big screen in #SonicMovie3 โค๏ธ๐๐ค
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear... you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be... #sonicmovie#gottafixfast ๐งโ๏ธ
Fun #SonicMovie3 fact... in an early version of the story, Robotnik and Stone hid out in Mexico. To keep tighter story pacing, we decided to eliminate the change of location and stage the first meeting with Team Sonic in Tokyo! (but the doctor's love of telenovelas remained!)
Our #SonicMovie3 journey began here... this was the FIRST piece of concept art we created for the film. The story of Shadow & Maria is one of the most important in the entire Sonic Universe and we knew we had to make it GREAT โค๏ธ๐ค๐๐
What an amazing PRIVILEGE it is telling stories with these characters... it has truly brought me the greatest JOY imaginable and cannot THANK YOU all enough for your continued support of #SonicMovie2 ๐๐โค๏ธ
Wow!!! We could not have asked for a more INCREDIBLE response to #SonicMovie3! THANK YOU to audiences all around the world for your unbelievable support! We have the BEST FANS ever!!! ๐๐โค๏ธ๐๐ค
Some of our early #SonicMovie2 concept art development! Easily one of my favorite parts of the filmmaking process, these epic visuals really set the creative tone for the film! (clockwise from top left, artwork by Nikolai Lockertsen, Alex Konstad, Bayard Wu and Nikolai L.)
Double your VILLAINS, double your FUN!! Here's an early piece of #SonicMovie3 concept art we created to showcase the idea of two Robotniks breaking into G.U.N. headquarters!
