- #FreeKaavan 🐘: First contact in 8 years! We can now officially call him the "former loneliest elephant in the world"! Seeing Kaavan interacting with other elephants is a huge moment for us but more importantly for Kaavan. 💕We are extremely moved!
- Two rescue missions. When the FOUR PAWS team, led by Dr. Amir Khalil, boarded their flight to Pakistan, they couldn’t have imagined the depths of suffering they will witness. All they had seen was a video: a helpless bear, attacked by dogs in a baiting fight.
- The day has finally come – we are rescuing Albania’s last restaurant bear! 🐻 We were very busy, preparing everything for Mark’s big day. The cage he had been kept in for over 20 years was never built for him to leave again, but this didn’t stop us - we cut the cage open.
- 🐻 An update you’ve been waiting for: Bears Rocky & Sunny! Rocky endured brutal bear-baiting fights, and Sunny was forced to dance for entertainment. At the beginning of March, the suffering ended. Our team did a thorough vet check, removed nose rings, & prepared a plan forward.

00:00 - News from Slovenia: After decades of misery as a restaurant bear, Felix can finally retire. 🐻 As promised, our dedicated team paid Felix a visit yesterday and after an assessment from our wildlife veterinarian, we have the green light to rescue him in a few weeks. 🍀
- #FreeKaavan 🐘: Kaavan arrived! ✈️ Last night the loneliest elephant in the world was loaded on an airplane in Islamabad. Together with the team on-site, Dr Frank Goeritz and Dr Amir Khalil were right by his side throughout the whole trip.
