    I can see I'm going to have to take the slow path here, so let's try this again slow w/small words. Folks that can't afford $4-5/g gas without major hits to their budgets cannot fix that problem by suddenly dropping $40K+ for the cheapest Tesla to save money per gallon on gas

    Five years ago today, this was me at Duke because my body revolted every time they tried to bring me back up off the ventilator following heart surgery (3rd major surgery in as many weeks). Very easily could have gone another way. Take nothing for granted. Every day is a gift.

    I've already heard a couple talking heads say something really stupid, so lets clear it up now: There isn't a bridge ever made that can withstand a 300m/95000 ton container ship slamming into a support without major damage or collapse. The force you are talking about is immense

    The crew of the ship that collided with Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing it to collapse, is still on board according to the latest information, Baltimore’s fire chief says. Sonar has also detected vehicles in the river, he said, but the number is not yet known.
