Imagine my disappointment when this was not a deep dive into the differences in how neurodivergent people might engage with and make art, but a look at how neurotypicals are mean sluts and neurodivergents are authentic and wholesome.

- These looks like stills from a film about a man who takes his weak nana to see the water one last time.
- Hey guys! Autistic person here! Just wanted to check in and let you know that "accidental" Nazi salutes are not a common autistic experience.
- If people are open to talking about autism vs mansplaining now, I'll add my own less pressing but still pertinent take: As an autistic woman who's had every interest and expertise explained to her at length, I don't care either way. The impact on me is the same.
- Replying to @fodderfigureI'm not sure more recently realized/diagnosed ND people are aware of just how new this ND aesthetic is. When I revealed the cover of my first book in early 2020, I had people writing me angry essays about how poorly I'd represented autistic people by having pink hair.
- "Autistic people are immune to propaganda" is something that people who have bought into their own propaganda about autistic superiority like to say.
- My fellow late diagnosed autistics, I am begging you to actually listen to more people who were diagnosed as children. Our fantasies about what could have been do NOT resembles their realities in any way. Please don't erase what they've gone through.
- The Good Doctor ends with the autistic doctor giving a TED talk while random people in the audience watch and smile with the charmed but slightly condescending expression you might reserve for a dog who has learned how to count.
- Replying to @fodderfigureThis look and colour scheme you're seeing on Instagram and TikTok now is only a few years old and it only represents people who are thriving on visual-based platforms. (And is everyone dressing this way being true to themselves? Or are some trying to fit in with other NDs now?)
- Replying to @fodderfigureThere's always so much concern for the hypothetical autistic man who wants to share his interests, never for the hypothetical person, usually a woman, who also has an interest in the topic and is expected to sit there and act like this is all new to her.
- Well, sorry to be one of those gross autistics who brings the brand down, but when I was a kid, I was obsessed with Chernobyl. As an autistic person, I don't understand why the media keeps giving us strange special interests. Like as a kid (and other kids like me), were was just obsessed with Sonic. I'm looking at you Atypical.
- I know the popular school of thought in online autistic circles is that only evil neurotypicals read things into what you're saying, but I've had some fellow autistics interpret what I'm saying in ways that I couldn't even have imagined, let alone intended.
- My fellow autistics keep telling me that autistics are pure and direct and never lie and only the evil NTs are ever passive aggressive, but the viral email from that 17yo is in fact passive aggressive as hell.
- Replying to @fodderfigureI'm sorry to be so painfully old again but, back in my day, judging people based on their appearance was considered superficial.
