This isn’t the flex Shedeur Sanders thinks it is. I’ve studied 22 of his games at Colorado —once he’s beyond the line of scrimmage he’s an average looking runner with average football speed who only took what college defenses gave him to take.
Why is Shedeur Sanders falling in the 2025 NFL Draft?
As a former NFL Scout, allow me to explain.
1. He’s not good enough on his game film.
We could stop there.
I’ve evaluated every snap in 26 documented games of Sanders dating back to 2022 at Jackson State and I studied his
2025 #NFL Draft updated list of 13 character concerns 🚩for Shedeur Sanders (video evidence included with each incident):
1. Flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct against Nebraska for removing his helmet (2023): x.com/firstroundmock…
2. Pre-game verbal altercation vs. Colorado
As a former NFL Scout, one of two things is happening here with Caleb Williams.
A. Caleb Williams poses the greatest threat to the NFL’s infrastructure that I’ve ever seen in a prospect with all of the documented examples of him putting himself above team and process.
B. Carl
As a former NFL Scout, Caleb Williams has been exactly what he was at USC this preseason —elite athlete, but an average passer 57% vs. Bills and 46% vs. Bengals. 50% overall completion percentage (10/20). I said pre draft “There’s nothing generational about him as a passer.”
All mainstream media does is show highlights of Anthony Richardson. Here are plays from the other side of the narrative against the Texans. Overall in this game Richardson completed 47.4% of his passes. The Colts need a new starting QB in 2025.
