Peace be upon us all towards each other and from the 70,000 angels that watch over everyone who tends to the sick. Proud and blessed to be a British Muslim and a GP. We will not be divided. Love our NHS❤️

I am doing a clinic ringing my patients who have chosen not to have their Covid vaccine. I wanted to give them the opportunity to talk to a clinician about their concerns. 95% are from varied BAME communities. Lots of fear. It’s an added but very important piece of work for GPs

After Friday prayers I like to buy myself a chocolate- please note this is not a mandatory part of prayer 😂 Thanks to all the police & law enforcement officers who looked after us today when I had been a bit scared to go to mosque. This is inclusive England #loveLondon 3/3

Ever wondered what happens at Mosque? I just came back from Friday prayers. It’s not mandatory for women to pray in mosque but I like to pray with others on our holy day of the week. We take our shoes off inside the mosque 1/3

For anyone who has known or worked with asylum seekers, we will understand why James O’Brien makes his point so beautifully. I have known patients who have been forced to sleep next to skulls of friends & been told they will be killed in the morning in the countries they escaped
'What's wrong with her? What happened? Who hurt her?' A 'heartbroken' and 'disgusted' James O'Brien rips Home Secretary Suella Braverman to utter shreds for 'dreaming of deporting completely innocent and decent fellow human beings'. @mrjamesob

I am proud to represent ALL our NHS family
We’ve got amazing people in the NHS. It’s not particularly amazing that the ‘GP of the year’ is a British Muslim (the NHS is thousands of amazing BAME and other staff) but its amazing that #NHS72 staff are on the Piccadilly circus billboard! @fhussain73 #NHSheroes @NewcastleHosps

I went to state school, thank you Fulwood High school & Preston College. I am currently GP of the year and proud to represent GP for the 72nd birthday of the NHS. Don’t be defined by your school. Be defined by your dreams!
Did you go to state school? Join our campaign and help inspire young people by sharing a video or a tweet about your journey from school to now. #IWentToStateSchool #nowrongpath crowdfunder.co.uk/future-first-c…

The Friday sermon is about 20 minutes long. Today we are reminded that most violence occurs out of ignorance. We fight ignorance with education NOT more violence. After sermon we have all pray together which lasts about 10 minutes. We also pray a funeral prayer if anyone died 2/3

A year ago I shared with my Twitter friends that I was ending a 24 year long marriage. I shared it to overcome my own personal shame that I had “failed” as a wife. A year on, I can co-parent well, the world didn’t end & I now know I didn’t fail at all. Dare to Be Yourself ❤️

A big fear after the end of 25yrs of marriage was eating out alone (I love someone else washing up occasionally!) I discovered it isn’t that bad, the staff are always so helpful & you can eat your lamb chops impolitely with sauce smeared on your face! #lifeafterdivorce #womencan

Everyday stereotypes- just had a practice virtual inspection from the IPC team. I had sent my signature with my role on previous email communication. I was asked “when the clinician was going to join?!” Women who are BAME can be GPs too! #lookslikeadoctor@NikkiKF

I was asked by my 4 year old friend if Santa has had his Covid jab. I can confirm, that because he is over 80, he was invited in the first few days & l personally gave him his jab. Due to patient confidentiality & his high profile, l cannot discuss when & where but Santa is safe..

On a Thursday morning on this date 6 years ago I went to my practice as usual. I took for granted that I would see my GP partner’s smile & would scold him for making the consulting room messy. But he wasn’t there. I lost him to suicide.l so miss the messy room now.#preventsuicide
