Dear Fall Sports, Please don’t cut corners and please follow the guidelines. Be safe!!! We are counting on you. Sincerely, Winter Sports- As the @MHSAA struggles to find a way to finish fall sports and to start winter I would like to suggest that Winter Sports ALWAYS start after Thanksgiving. Multi-sport kids get no real break, Thanksgiving is a time for families and the hoop season is too long for only 20 games.
- I know the @MHSAA won’t give us a shot clock but a 25 game schedule just makes sense. We played 18 games in 6 weeks this year so a 25 game schedule in 13 weeks just makes sense.
- If the only way to play is through testing I say we test only before games: 19 (games) * 12 (players) = 228 tests. At $5 each (Abbotts antigen test) that comes to $1,140. I would gladly volunteer to take that out of my coaching pay. 2 weeks to ship is plenty of time. @MHSAA
- @MHSAA should consider these proposals for next year. 1. Shot clock (30 seconds) 2. 5 Divisions 3. Start after Thanksgiving 4. 25 games 5. Holiday Tournaments 6. One free transfer (especially after this year). There’s no exception for academic reasons! (Virtual vs in person)
- MHSAA recommendations: 1. Don’t start until after Thanksgiving to allow an off-season for volleyball/football. 2. Go to 8 Divisions. The more champions the better. 3. Expand to 25 games. (13 weeks) 4. Full seeding in playoffs.
- I am amazed at the amount of support to REVERSE the decision to postpone winter sports. The next step SHOULD be compromise with transparency. Without it, we must conclude that we are being governed with an authoritarian administration. #novoice
- Congratulations to all the Club volleyball teams that were allowed to play in the 40+ team tournaments in the State of Michigan this past weekend....over 500 kids from 40+ communities for 12+ hours.....All we want is 24 kids for 2 hours......
- You should probably respond to previous messages about my players before you ask me to spend $300 at your team camp…you clearly didn’t care about my players then…
- So incredibly proud of this girl right now. She currently has school records in pts (1001) 3pters made (153) steals (197) and assists (340). Everything she has accomplished is absolutely earned!! The definition of a complete player. @CMill2025_
- For the @MHSAA to ignore many of the suggestions from @BCAMCoaches after the 12/18 announcement is unacceptable. Reminds me how the MHSAA felt after the Governor ignored their plan.
- I appreciate all the coaches that have reached out after our emotional loss last night. So much hatred everywhere but so much positivity and support in HS girls basketball. It is greatly appreciated
