    If you want to understand the history of passing in the NFL, this chart is a good place to start. 2020 was the highest completion percentage year ever (65.2%), and also the lowest Y/C year ever (11.1). Cmp% in BLUE against the LEFT Y-Axis. Y/C in RED against the RIGHT Y-Axis.

    No team in NFL history has ever gone an entire game without punting, kicking a field goal, or turning the ball over. Buffalo hasn't done any of those things through 58 minutes.

    Strange but still true: The 6-7 Cowboys have scored more points than the 10-2 Seahawks. The 6-7 Cowboys have also allowed fewer points than the 10-2 Seahawks. Dallas has also gained more yards than Seattle and allowed fewer yards than Seattle.

    The Jets scored 20+ points, committed 0 turnovers, and held their opponent to under 250 yards of offense. From 1940 until yesterday, teams were 756-0 when they hit those three metrics. But the Jets lost to New England today, 25-22.

    The Colts released Peyton Manning and drafted Andrew Luck in the spring of 2012. Since then, Manning has won more games and thrown for more TDs than Luck.

    A charmed life: Brandin Cooks has gone from Drew Brees to Tom Brady to Jared Goff to Deshaun Watson at QB. Larry Fitzgerald once went from Derek Anderson to Max Hall to John Skelton to Kevin Kolb to Skelton to Kolb to Skelton to Kolb to Ryan Lindley ... without changing teams.
