As a journalist, I do what I do not for the money, although I do try to get paid for my labor. I do it because I see what Black and Indigenous people have to suffer through. I see what my country is doing to Latinos and other marginalized groups, like women and the LGBTQ

I've been out of blood pressure meds for two weeks. My doctor won't give me refills until I go see him. I begged him to give me some refills because I can't afford to go and he refuses. He's holding my meds hostage over an $80 doctor visit. We live in such a fucked up society.

You know why I never say Latinos built this country? Because we didn't. Black people did. Do we keep this country running? Yep. But don't ever take away from the Black struggle that built the foundations that this country thrives on even today.

The trucker boycott of Florida is growing exponentially every day. Latino drivers, White drivers, and Black drivers are all organizing in support of immigrants in the US. It's a beautiful thing to see. Shout out to Hispanics TikTok for this awesome compilation.

Did you know that @marcorubio's grandfather received an order of deportation in 1962? Did you also know that the man stayed in the US "illegally" until 1977 when he had his case reviewed and was ultimately allowed to stay? Marco Rubio is a much bigger hypocrite than you thought.

You know how Americans walk into Mexico, party or get meds, and come back? Americans decry open borders yet they have the privilege of living as if the borders are open for them. If we can walk in and out of a country at will, so should the people coming from the other side.
