Great blocking/reaction drill with limited space using the vector ball for vision training. Color dictares the base for recovery (items on the ground match the color/base) 🟢 = 3B, 🔵 = 2B, 🔴 = 1B

Awesome drill from @goodrocatching we’ve integrated into our warm up. Short hop receiving from different stances with a runner call. Working landing softly while transitoning, with a timely/controlled pre-pitch. @HernandezJedier

Great drill from @JWonCATCHING and @goodrocatching . Gave our catchers a great visual and emphasized consistent release with tight backspin.

No better way to explain the feel of knee down blocking than this Austin Hedges video. (Taken from @goodrocatching ) Shinguard is your point of mobility. Weight distribution and part of knee on the ground is a difference maker. Our warmup is centered around creating this feel

Love this drill from @goodrocatching - working uphill to really feel the backside coming through. Made the throw with no mound after feel much easier after. @Arty_dubs8 - St. Joe’s (Montvale) ‘24

(1/2) Cool blocking drill based on this Yadi drill posted a couple of years ago. My interpretation of the drill at the time was to emphasize deadening the ball & help catchers really work on moving hips better (getting into deeper ranges of motion than usual).

Saw this video of Roberto Perez earlier this year courtesy of @goodrocatching . When teaching young players the scap load aka “bow&arrow”, this is a great tool - young throwers tend to rush and push ball or get hand below it = weaker throw. Great warm up drill prior to throwing
