    There must be political will from the top to probe all dimensions of gunman’s attack on HDP Izmir office & murder of Deniz Poyraz while police were on duty outside the building. The presidency & govt must urgently end the hateful discourse against the HDP

    Astonishing to think that Robert Spano, European Court of Human Rights president @ECHR_CEDH is planning to accept an honorary doctorate in law from Istanbul Univ which summarily dismissed scores of academics - among them Mehmet Altan - in an unlawful way. Think again Judge Spano.

    MP @gergerliogluof is the voice of 1000s in Turkey dismissed from jobs, prosecuted & jailed over the past 5 years by the Erdoğan govt; some have been tortured, even disappeared & impunity reigns. Expelling Gergerlioğlu from parliament would be a reprisal for his human rights work

    HRW: Govt should disclose where İnandı is held & secure his release; ensure full medical exam from independent medic in hospital w/o security officials present; grant urgent access to a lawyer of his choice with a view to prompt appearance before a judge.
