- I've been asking NHL players what their biggest impulse purchase has been over the last 12 months. Colorado Avalanche rookie Cale Makar's answer was so pure. "Umm.. the other day I was driving and I stopped to buy myself a slurpee. I wouldn't usually do that, but I did."
- Most meaningful moment of the night. Robin Lehner has been candid about dealing with bipolar disorder and addiction. Tyler Motte shared his story of battling anxiety and depression this season. Total respect for both of these guys for being so open about mental health.

- There will be a new event at NHL All-Star weekend: a three-on-three game between top American and Canadian women's hockey players
- Disappointed, but not surprised the NHL is the only pro sport continuing to play tonight. Hockey has a chance to join a statement for social change. Instead, once again, the NHL is just looking the other way.
- First time a Canadian NHL team has played in the United States in 15 months. And the Habs have to come out and play in front of this. Talk about a shock to the system 😳
- Jack LaFontaine had to dress as the emergency backup after Antti Raanta was knocked out of tonight’s game. Jack can’t sit on the bench. So here’s where he is during the game, alone in the equipment room.
