    Re Coinbase, I think the failure is not rescinding offers, the failure is not thinking right about the headcount. This isn’t specific to Coin, this is a standard mistake of high-growth startups pursuing a growth playbook. You can’t just hire people on way up and fire on way down

    4) Promoting young people Maturity and “adulthood” is not about age. Corporate boomers are not always better managers Experience helps in some areas but not in all. Also experience often substantially limits thinking. Some skills get worse with age for many people
