I wrote a book about Charlottesville, Jan 6, the alt right, an incel three-way, a death party, a mushroom trip, a book burning, a fascist's cell phone + what I witnessed reporting on extremism for a decade. It's called Black Pill. Out 7/9, preorder here:

Be careful trying to decipher the true political beliefs of people wrapped in so many layers of irony they're not sure of their own true beliefs

It's true: in 2014, I taught Matt Taibbi keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste. If I had not done that, maybe all this could have been averted. I am deeply sorry.

check out the interrogation of Toronto mass murderer Alek Minassian as he explains to a stunned police officer that he did it to start an incel uprising. Gives you a sense of how absurd memes can thoroughly infect someone's brain

For clarity, Owens, via her rep, did agree to talk about Charlie Kirk before our interview x.com/RealCandaceO/s…
So easy to debunk— and you are beyond pathetic for trying this: 1) See email below: My CNN interview was booked BEFORE Charlie died and it was related to my book launch. We kept the interview, which took place about 20 days AFTER he had passed, and we told them in writing,

If I interviewed someone who said, "we need to do helicopter raids on residential apartment buildings," I'd be screamed at for platforming. This stuff is actually happening, open your eyes people

Some are coming to Candace Owens for her criticism of the Gaza war, and some of it sounds reasonable, like objecting to the scale of violence, injured kids. But embedded in it are ideas I recognize from covering extremism, like her claim "our government is occupied by Zionists"

The 'hoax' claim is based on the idea Trump was right that there were some normal non-white nationalist people involved in Unite the Right. There weren't. It was conceived of by white nationalists at a white nationalist event 3 months earlier.

Having been at both Charlottesville in 2017 and the Capitol on 1/6, I'm confident I recognize propaganda when I see it
Americans should watch this report and decide who to trust: the condescending CNN correspondent or hardworking parents horrified at the racism being pushed on their kids.

you never know what's going to happen on camera
Incredible moment on CNN: over the course of 40 seconds, a Georgia voter reasons himself to the conclusion that a woman actually can be president
