Decentralised Robotics 🧵 I/ Building datasets for embodied AI is tough—humanoid robots need real-world human motion task data, but collecting it at scale has been limited to research lab projects or closed source big labs. At Eidon, we started with our wearable IMU trackers.

IV/ Eidon SYM acts as the hub: It aggregates IMU data and syncs it with timestamped video from a head (or chest)-mounted phone camera. This creates multimodal datasets—skeletal poses paired with egocentric visuals—for training Vision-Language-Action models.

II/ Our system uses 7 wireless IMU devices to capture upper-body kinematics: trackers on hands, forearms, upper arms, and torso. They stream quaternion data at 48Hz via BLE, with ±1-2° accuracy on joint angles. Designed for field use—battery-powered, rugged enclosures.
