Yall don't understand. I'm and author who has done *extensive* research on the 18th century and a lifelong fan of classical music and the opera. The fact that I was proposed to while we were in Vienna, watching an opera Mozart wrote in the 18th century, is unmatched actually
I got engaged on the roof of the Vienna State Opera?!?!?!??!! 😭😭😭😭😭

Books do not all have to be literary masterpieces with life-changing themes in order to be considered valid. Books that are purely for entertainment and comfort purposes are valid, too. Just because a book is meant to be read for fun doesn't make it any lesser than.

I'm suddenly very curious about what everyone thinks the best age would be to be turned into a vampire. I fully stand by my thought that becoming immortal in your early 30s would be *peak*.

The 1996 Romeo + Juliet was modernized, but the themes were exactly the same. The story was the same. The dialogue was line-for-line FROM the play. There is a huge difference between artistic vision that still respects the source material and doing whatever the fuck for vibes.
you guys would hate Romeo + Juliet (1996) if it came out today.

I CANNOT be the only person that needs explicit instruction to understand what to do, right??? Like I'm supposed to be doing something at work and my coworkers were all "just go and do it." Like you truly don't understand much "just go and do it" does not help me.

Do people actually reach out to their favorite authors to tell them how much they liked their books? Is this a thing people do? I always *want* to but am forever stuck in "I don't want to bother anyone" mode. For published authors, do you like when people reach out?

Still young enough to have your looks and be physically fit but old enough that people would take you seriously and you could basically do whatever you wanted with your life and it would pretty much always be believable. Peaaaakkk.

One key to creating good romance that a lot of people forget is adding admiration!! The characters have to *admire* each other. And not just "wow, he/she/they are so hot haha" but what about them as a PERSON is admirable? Why did your character choose THIS person and no one else?
Spice is so boring without the emotional tethers. I want passion, I want YEARNING. If an author can’t achieve that then the spice sucks, imho

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that writers will become massively inspired to write when they are busy with other responsibilities and cannot actually do so.

One big thing I want to see in 2020 is strong female characters who don't have to reject femininity to be considered strong. More women who kick ass while wearing dresses and makeup. More women who have quiet strength. More women who don't think being like men makes them strong.

The way I refer to people on Twitter I've never once even had an interaction with as 'my friend' all the time 💀💀💀💀
