Cheshire postmaster Martin Griffiths threw himself in front of a bus in 2013 after he and his family were forced to pay back £100,000 of phantom losses. His widow Gina was pressured into signing a gagging clause keeping the full story secret for years.

Dear @SBarrettBar Seema is my client. It adds insult to injury when you use her painful ordeal to try and score a moribund political point, predicated on incompetent error.

I submitted to a judge in Reading earlier this year that conditions in British Prisons were worse than as documented by Michael Ignatieff within Pentonville in the 1840s.

In the 1790s an authoritarian Government led by Pitt the Younger brought a series of treason trials against radicals who were accused of ‘Jacobinism’. Mild mannered individuals faced a grisly public execution.

On so many levels your tweet is offensive. Your insinuation about the Germans/Nazis, for a start. The Germans faced their past, and agonised over it. I don’t see the same recognition from us re the Irish famine, or the foulest tactics deployed by the British over 100s of years.

#Colston4 there’s been much criticism of the verdict in this case. Frankly the verdict was unsurprising, even if against the weight of the evidence. Why? Because the harrowing impact of the expert evidence given by the historian David Olusoga provided cogent ammo to the defence

#JolyonMaugham years ago, in good faith & optimism, I asked JM for help on behalf of my son. He claimed to be a Beckett expert & my boy was studying Beckett. Might he share his knowledge with my son? He tweeted to his followers: How much should I charge him?

My junior and our wonderful client Seema Misra, after @FloraClairePage had performed a masterly cross examination of Mr Gareth Jenkins.

I’m not able to see the response of Mr @SBarrettBar but the proper thing to do would be to apologise to Seema (seeking to exploit her case for political reasons) and to retract.

When someone’s inciting you to demonise lawyers, whether they defend those accused of crime, or protect the stateless, and dispossessed, you need to ask yourself ‘Why?’ Cui bono?

It takes a village to raise a child. In my case, developing my craft, over 36 years, I am indebted to many hundreds of people. Thank you all.

Our Prime Minister is educated to an enhanced degree. Unfortunately, he has no common sense, hence being bounced into a sordid wager; & has still less judgement, witness his accusation that Starmer is a terrorist sympathiser. Both actions are worthy of contempt.

Thank you for this recognition, arising from my work in the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry and the appeal of Andrew Malkinson. My clients are an inspiration and my juniors and solicitors utterly integral to ‘my’ success. Thank you.
