👀 👀 👀 Look how many pizzas we had to buy to feed all the Y11s who were still here at 6pm.
Tonight’s Last Man Standing session is maths, ahead of tomorrow’s exam. We keep teaching until the last pupil goes home.

🚨PERSONAL NEWS🚨
So I‘ve moved to the *gorgeous* Norwich to start with @InspirationEast on Monday as a Subject Specialist Lead for English.
Basically, I’m totally excited to begin working alongside @ragazza_inglese@carnaby_mr@BarryNSmith79 and so many other great peeps!
👊
I grew up in San Francisco, walking with my family by the Golden Gate Bridge. I still remember the thick and iconic chain railing that gave the place a sense of distinctiveness.
Now the chains are gone, and they've been replaced by a soulless metal railing that's colder than a
This kind of rhetoric is a trick that allows leaders to disown responsibility for the behaviour in their school - blame it on quality of teaching and planning instead.
I’d even say that, in a challenging school, this approach can cause emotional problems for staff and pupils.
Absolutely.
Running great schools in disadvantaged areas isn’t about sound bites or platitudes. There are concerete things that must be done to run a turnaround school effectively and bring about great outcomes.
There are limited people in the sector who have achieved this.
Hopefully @bphillipsonMP will consult those Heads who have transformed a challenging school, from Inadequate to Good/Outstanding (with excellent KS2/KS4 outcomes for disadvantaged students) and ask them what works. Those who have walked the walk+committed their lives to this.
I remember when @CharteredColl was started. Hope was that it would give more professional respect to teachers.
So it’s v disappointing to see a ‘fellow’ of CCT, who doesn’t actually teach, but who does have CPD to sell, so eager to criticise those working hard to improve things.
Really looking forward to @ebiThomasJ joining us as a Trust VP in our Astrea secondary curriculum team, led by @carnaby_mr! Excited about our new signings ahead of 23-24!
This week I was lucky enough to visit @ArkSoaneAcademy.
The children might just be the most polite and courteous I have met in any school! Plus, the lessons were disruption free, the teaching was great, and family lunch was perfect.
Flowers to @MJBurnage@Mr_Raichura et al!
Excellence is exactly what we’re striving for @astreaernulf!
Classrooms are ready and waiting to welcome our new Y7s with bags and water bottles supplied.
