- In the early 2000s in Lagos I’m pretty sure there used to be public health workers that would train hairdressers, make up artists, tailors etc to spot DV victims and how to support them. I don’t think it goes on anymore but one of the best ways to reach DV victims 1/If Makeup artists tell you how much evidence of DV on women’s faces (scars, black eye, etc) they have had to cover with makeup even on brides on their wedding day, your mouth will open & never close.
