- This isn't the best of news to share, but please bare with me. I was informed by Derrick's sister that he has unexpectedly passed away earlier this month. There will be a more information from his family in the future, but for now I just want to let people know.
- I'll always like a TFA Bee in a non-TFA style It's just such a great design that it survives outside it's own style really well.
- My cover for #IDW's #BeastWars issue 3 was shown off in solicitations: seibertron.com/transformers/n… I figured I'd post the cover sans logos and stuff! Was a lot of fun and I really appreciate getting to do another cover for Transformers! (I wanted to wait a little but I got excited)
- As much as I love TFA and the pupils just being there, I extra love treating the eye as a colored lens in front of moving mechanical pieces. It's one of the things firmly implanted within my brain from watching 80's/90's anime. Derrick called my rendering of 'em "jewel eyes".When you can see their optics behind the visor 👌 👌 👌 👌
- I don't have a lot of my older IDW work archives on me, so I'm limited to what I can post(most things I lack are from my early IDW days), but I wanted to throw out some of my favorite IDW work. Starting with colors on these @markerguru covers(Chaos Theory?)
- I’m just really happy to see Transformers media using the fact that these are mechanical beings that change forms to the advantage of fun fight choreography.
- Sometimes you gotta draw @GuyFieri as a Transformer (think redeco'd Energon Prime with a new head). (with fried chicken explosions, even!)
