Life is too short to constantly chase my impulses Iโ€™ll never achieve my long term goals if I need validation from my short term feelings

Iโ€™ve been #daytrading for almost 9 years now. It has been the only way I have made a living since I graduated from Law School. Here are 9 things I wish I knew when I started out my career.

I'm a day trader. I trade options. I play the same couple setups on the same 10 tickers I pretty much ignore everything else. I've never traded crypto, I don't care about small caps, I don't need a scanner. I just stay in my lane and play between my lines

Being a profitable trader is lonely. Everyone is jealous of what you have. No one is jealous of the work you had to put in to get there.

Trading was my only option. There were no back up plans When I decided to become a trader I went all in. I burnt all my other bridges You canโ€™t half way house commit to trading. You canโ€™t ease your way into it. You have to want it more than anything else. All in at all times

I'm a boring trader - I trade a couple of setups - I focus on 8 different tickers - I take 3-5 trades a week - I only trade the morning rush - I focus on losing small, not winning big My formula for success is that I spend more time planning/studying my trading than trading

    5. Good trading is patient trading Sit and wait for your perfect setup. Donโ€™t chase after it. Traders get paid for their decisions not their time. There will be times to trade and times to sit. You should spend more time sitting than trading
