I just read the new Haaretz article about how Israeli planted pines are suddenly dying en masse and it is absolutely worth dissecting. Here are a summary & my observations as a Palestinian scholar who writes on green colonialism. 1/
Greta Thunberg and 11 other activists have just been kidnapped under gunpoint by Israel while they were in international waters and attempting to peacefully & legally deliver life-saving aid to millions of Palestinians! Shame on the world for abetting this war crime!
I stuck the 🇵🇸 flag outside my car window the whole time while my brother drove us to Toronto last night. Suddenly, a white man in the car next to us rolled down his window to talk. I was scared only for him to yell "I'm going to the protest too! Follow me, I'll get you parking."
Eight-year-old Luay Dweik has died after Israeli authorities refused to let him leave Gaza for life-saving hepatitis treatment.
His family said his body had turned yellow, his temperature spiked, and his blood sugar and pressure collapsed, yet he was denied care abroad.
Today, I met a White journalist at a rally.
Me: "Are you pro-Palestine?"
Her: "I'm pro-peace. I wish for the Palestinians & Israelis to get along."
Me: "Did you support 'peace' between Nazis & Jewish people?"
Her: "I wish the Nazis didn't exist." 1/3
So sad to hear that the first openly gay Imam was assassinated as he attended a wedding. He saved many lives by rejecting Queerphobia from an Islamic lens. The global rise of this fascist movement is terrifying but we'll keep fighting it. May Allah SWT accept Muhsin's martyrdom.
🏳️🌈 Born in South Africa, Muhsin Hendricks is credited with starting the country's first LGBTQ+ friendly mosque and over two decades of activism he has sought to help queer Muslims reconcile their faith with their sexual orientation.

WATCH: Cindy and Craig Corrie are demanding independent investigations into the deaths of their daughter Rachel Corrie and of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, both U.S. citizens killed by the Israeli military while participating in nonviolent protest.
One of the food aid workers Israel assassinated in Gaza is Jacob Flickinger who is a former Canadian marine. He leaves behind his partner Sandy and a one-year-old baby boy. Canada has yet to say his name or cut ties with the genocidal rogue regime of Israel.
And sure enough, after a little while, she crossed the street to join the tiny Israeli crowd literally screaming in support of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. I'm so sick of the racist double standards & "neutrality" of Western journalism.
