- My children (8 and 6) have had to wear masks every school day since Covid started. ZERO. That’s how many times they have complained. We have much to learn from our children about loving our neighbors in times of uncertainty.
- How do I respond to today? I tell my daughter I believe her, and I listen to her without interrupting her when she’s talking, and teach her younger brothers to do the same. And I teach her to vote. And then I go vote.
- Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease.
- Been thinking about Andrew Luck all day. I love when famous people don’t live inside the world’s expectations of them. Good for you Mr. Luck. Have a great next chapter, whatever it is.
- IMO, “Relatively Easy” is by far @jasonisbell’s best song. The tension of personal/universal is perfectly on point. “A vandal’s smile, a baseball in his right hand, nothing but the blue sky in his eyes.” Tragic song but a bloodstream of hope and companionship. Melody is fire too.
- If you are teacher I just want to say Thank You. You are under appreciated, especially in a pandemic. Keep your head up!!
- I was born here and raised here and I’ll make my grave here, it’s home.
- Memphis, my hometown, has had to deal with unspeakable heartache this year. Even still, the city responds with grace and grit. It’s a wonderful place. Go visit, and meet the realest of people.
- If you are the kind of person who deboards a plane before it is your turn, stop. Stop doing that. Never do it again.
