- Still going through Thailand photos and remembering this stunning Racket-tailed Treepie. Almost hard to believe they are corvids!
- One of Maine’s rarest breeders, Least Bittern was only confirmed in two blacks for the Maine Bird Atlas. Here’s one of the chicks I saw this morning from a pair in Bangor that nested just a few hundred feet from Interstate 95
00:00 - An American Flamingo, presumably the one in NY yesterday, is now on Cape Cod. Another 118 mile jump and it would be at Biddeford Pool 🤞
- I do feel bad for abandoning my seawatching post during the York CBC, but Steller’s Sea-Eagle is arguably one of the most incredible birds in the world and I had to go.
- STELLER’S SEA-EAGLE IS BACK! We’ll do our best to keep you up-to-date on @MaineAudubon’s blog again this year:
- We just found a SAGE THRASHER on @MaineAudubon’s bird walk at Gilsland Farm in Falmouth. Only the second record of this species in Maine!!
- It appears Jessica Blake found the STELLER’S SEA-EAGLE today (13 Feb) from the Rt127 bridge between Arrowsic and Georgetown
