- Even at my age, getting an NIH ‘not discussed’ on a grant you thought was great is a punch in the gut- for younger folks, remember to take as a challenge, not a defeat!!
- In view of the recent new information on salt, potassium, blood pressure, and mortality, @PAWellingMD and I today published our insights into salt and blood pressure. We show how new findings complement, but don't disrupt, more traditional underpinnings.
- We are pleased our paper, with Yujiro Maeoka, is published in @HyperAHA, showing the MRAs cause natriuresis in mice lacking aldosterone by blocking glucocorticoid binding to MR in kidney. This is why MRAs treat resistant HTN even when aldo is not elevated.
