Kent Melton, maquette sculptor of nearly 40 years that worked with studios such as Hanna Barbera, Warner Bros, LAIKA, and Walt Disney Animation, passed away today at 68.
When Disney's Florida studio closed in 2004, a small company by the named of Cecropia hired a majority of the laid off animators to create an interactive arcade game called "The Act." It is the last of its kind, being a 2D animated arcade game similar to Dragon's Lair.

A half hour reel of footage from the canceled CGI/2D hybrid pseudo-sequel to Yellow Submarine, Strawberry Fields, has been shared by a crew member. None of this footage has been seen by the public in at least 30 years.
