    200+ firefighters are still working tirelessly in extreme terrain & conditions at the Wooroloo #bushfire. Erratic fire behaviour fanned by strong winds continues to challenge crews on the frontline who are protecting what they can & putting containment lines in place. #perthfires

    Here's the #radioactive #capsule in question, which was found 74kms south of Newman at 11am today. The capsule has a serial number, which has been used to verify that this is indeed the object that has been the focus of our search for the past week. lnkd.in/gtS9bWMK #WA

    Crews from Maddington Station faced a challenging confined space rescue today, venturing into a drain to fish out some…ducks? With their panicked mother in a flap nearby, career firefighters managed to rescue 7 ducklings that were stuck in the drain! #DuckDuckCrews 🦆 #PerthNews

    Strike Team Alpha has been looking after all #Australians great and small while assisting with the devastating fires in #NSW. The possum was rescued from a fallen tree, the echidna was escorted away from the firefront & Skippy was freed from a wire fence & given water. #Perthnews

    Firefighters & aerial crews have worked hard to control the blaze that blanketed our city with smoke today. The Watch & Act has thankfully been downgraded to an Advice, but it’s important to remain vigilant & keep up to date in case the situation changes. #perthnews #wafires

    How good is a free ice cream after a hard day of firefighting in tough conditions? Amy’s face says it all!🍦 Well done to the #firefighters and supporting crews for managing to contain 2 bushfire emergencies in Geraldton yesterday. Both have now been downgraded to Advice level!
