    Next Friday will mark the start of the high school football season, and after 26 years, it will mark the end of my time at WSIL. I have chosen to head down a new path, and I’m absolutely stoked for the opportunity ahead! More on that in the days to come.

    Congrats to Rodney Watson and the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles who are headed to the D2 Final Four thanks to a 94-84 win over West Texas A&M. USI will play the winner of Queens (NC) and Point Loma tomorrow in the semis.

    In both games I covered today, I saw senior sons and coaching dads (1 head coach, 1 asst coach) share long hugs after the sons walked off the floor for the last time. No matter what the last 5 1/2 weeks was like or what might've been missing...those moments are irreplaceable.

    Nashville is headed to the 2A state championship game with a 31-24 2OT win over DePaul Coll Prep. The Hornets did not lead until early in the 2nd OT. Nashville will face Monticello Saturday between 12:30-1:00 for the title.
