We had a person kill a Democratic state rep in MN and her husband, shoot a second and his wife, and have a list with 90 more, but the Justice Department couldn't be bothered, but they are on the case of the sandwich thrower

- There are two points worth making on this incident. From NPR’s @QuilLawrence: Arlington National Cemetery officials say Trump campaign staff verbally abused and pushed aside cemetery official who objected to filming and photography at gravesites More below and to follow on NPR
- very interesting that Lockheed's stock went up 2.0 percent on Thursday, the day before the attack. Looks like a lot of people should go to jail.Hey guys. Look who is loving this new Iran news!
- My wife made this interesting comparison. Joe Biden lied about not pardoning Hunter. That directly affected one person, Hunter. Trump lied about not knowing anything about Project 2025, that affects tens of millions of people. Which will get more media attention?
- Seriously, you have the Speaker of the House suggesting that he has spoken with justices of the Supreme Court about political matters. Is there some reason this is not a huge scandal.Nice to know that Speaker Johnson not only knows SCOTUS Justices "personally" but suggests he has spoken to them about this case which may come before them and they told him they're not happy with it, and that he expects they will throw out the conviction.
- I hate to put a lot of highly paid pundits out of business, but look at this f**king graph
- Replying to @DeanBaker13The other more important point is that if the Harris campaign had ever done anything like this, EVERY SINGLE Republican politician and pundit would be screaming bloody murder.
- Replying to @DeanBaker13First, any normal campaign would be apologizing to the staff of Arlington Cemetary as well as the family and friends of the veterans buried there for violating its rules.
- Trump has a point about the hatred under Obama. I remember some nutball running around the country insisting Obama was born in Kenya and his U.S. birth certificate was fakeMacCALLUM: Do you think it's the responsibility of the president to bring people together? TRUMP: Ideally ... I saw it starting with President Obama. I saw tremendous hatred.
00:00 - Replying to @DeanBaker13The rules are pretty straightforward -- no photographs for political events -- and Trump violated them.
- I was listening to a focus group sponsored by NPR of people who don't like Biden or Trump. They asked one person who was leaning towards Trump about what she saw happening in a second Trump term. She answered, he would create jobs.
- The polls keep showing the presidential race is a dead heat. I wonder where it would be if the media had not misled the country about the economy for the last 4 years, insisting everything was awful when most data showed an extraordinarily strong bounce back from the pandemic.
- Beef prices have fallen back the level they were at when President Biden took office tradingeconomics.com/commodity/beef Too bad the media can't find out about this
- Replying to @DeanBaker13What an incredible indictment of the media that people literally have no idea of the basic facts on the economy. And don't tell me this is based on their lived experience. They don't know lots of people who are unemployed. They get this from what they hear, not from what they see
