This week, my wife’s grandfather told us that when he was 16 nazis tossed him in a truck and took him to a slave labor camp. For 4 years. He never saw his parents or siblings again.
I’ll think of this when I think something is “hard” or “unfair”.

This woman lives in Trinity-Bellwoods, one of the most popular neighbourhoods in the entire country specifically because of its vibrant small businesses and mixed urbanism.
Most normal people can only dream of living
There is no osmosis in entrepreneurship.
You can’t hang around entrepreneurs, read about them, go to conferences, invest in them, listen to podcasts, etc. and just become one.
You simply have to do it. Then you are one.

Shopify is not only the most spectacular entrepreneurial Canadian success story in this century, its leaders Tobias Lütke & Kaz Nejatian have the backbone to stand up and fight for all entrepreneurs.
Corporate Canada needs to learn from them in every way.
