If the wipes clog your sewer line then your plumber will be coming to collect “taxes” to clear it.

“Don’t flush wet wipes” yeah I pay taxes for that to be the city’s problem not mine

UPDATE - All customers under the precautionary boil water advisory can use tap water for all purposes after it was confirmed that drinking water provided by the Washington Aqueduct never deviated from U.S. EPA established water quality standard. dcwater.com/bwalifted

On Friday, June 14th DC Water will introduce non-toxic, biodegradable green dye into Rock Creek to locate and observe the outfalls along the creek. This will cause creek water to become green. Moving water will flush and disperse the dye throughout the day.

The deluge on Monday was overwhelming, but not for the Anacostia Tunnel System💪! The data is in, and the tunnel captured 170 MILLION GALLONS of combined sewage that otherwise would have flowed directly into the Anacostia River! 📸: @scott_brawley

The rainy weather this month put our new tunnels to the test again. The data's in - the system captured over 200 MILLION gals of combined sewage that otherwise would have ended up in the Anacostia, enough to fill RFK Stadium to the top! Not to mention all the trash collected.

The Northeast Boundary Tunnel is almost operational! As we work to bring it online, here is one more peak inside. It is 5-miles long, 23 ft in diameter, 100 ft deep and will provide 90M gallons of storage to reduce flooding and combined sewer overflows to the Anacostia River.
