Winner of today’s Tour de France Femmes, Lorena Wiebes - in what I suspect over time will become an iconic image.

Strava has just started doubling its prices, but they concurrently refuse to tell me what the actual price of Strava is now. This is arguably the most insane post I've ever written, as I try and get to the bottom of the unannounced Strava price increases: dcrainmaker.com/2023/01/strava…

This will officially be the most impressive sports tech thing you see today. Fully autonomous using object recognition, never lost me, tree tunnels be damed. Riding tomorrow. Increda-cool.

Public service announcement to companies this morning: When you post comments on the site pretending to be a customer praising your product, I'd recommend not using the same computer/network as when you post official company responses. Happy Tuesday!

It's that time of year again: The Annual Christmas Tree by Bike post! This marks 10 years of getting home the tree via two-wheeled pedaling transport, complete with four people on the bike (and one tree). Full story and gallery of the adventure: dcrainmaker.com/2022/12/gettin…

This seems like about as non-helpful an FAQ as possible. Three days later and not even a hint of Garmin admitting what’s going on. I think most reasonable people understand the company is in a bad situation, but at least acknowledging a sliver of that would be a good first step.
We want to extend our sincerest apology for the inconvenience the outage has caused for our customers. We hope this FAQ answers some of the questions you have: garmin.com/outage

Strava's just announced a slate of huge and sweeping changes, few of which are for the good. Non-paying users lose access to Segment leaderboards, route builder andmore. All 3rd party apps lose access to Segment leaderboards too. Here's all the details: dcra.in/StravaCuts

Ok, so I'm a bit belated on this one. But...we've expanded Team DCR with a new addition! Hello to P3! No, not the PowerTap P3, but The Peanut 3. And yup, she's already got some rides in. Here's the quick details: dcra.in/P3Arrival

Shimano R9200P Power Meter In-Depth Review: After 8 months of usage, it's clear this is one of the most inaccurate power meters of the past decade. I dig into not just my own 8 months worth of data, but also data from multiple units to show how bad it is: dcrainmaker.com/2023/02/shiman…

Strava Finally Responds: They’ve posted a response that outlines their actions. But in doing so they’ve seemingly violated EU laws on electronic goods pricing, and “price transparency” rights. I dig deep and check 75 countries pricing, EU laws, and more: dcrainmaker.com/2023/01/strava…
