- Oregon Public Broadcasting confirms tweets today that federal officers in camouflage but no agency identification or badges, driving unmarked non-government rental cars, are grabbing protestors off streets in Portland and not talking w local authorities
- I hear from friends in Oregon that, per local media, some claims 'antifa is starting forest fires' have been traced to magabros hearing 'blm' on radio scanners and not realizing it means Bureau of Land Management
- Did the President just direct federal government officials to apply a political test when hiring for federal jobs? That's illegal, you know.It would be really great if the people within the Trump Administration, all well-meaning and good (I hope!), could stop hiring Never Trumpers, who are worse than the Do Nothing Democrats. Nothing good will ever come from them!

- If you haven't followed, the West Virginia GOP has conducted a coup against their state's judiciary. Impeached their entire state Supreme Court at once, then the very pols who led impeachment were appointed to the Court, flipping partisan controlGOP governor names GOP House speaker and GOP congressman temporary justices for W. Va. Supreme Court (replacing 2 Dems who resigned). Three remaining justices under impeachment.
- I dare you to tell me things are healthy and normal with American democracy when Reps and Senators are deciding how to vote based on the credible fear that their own party's extremists might murder their families if they vote the wrong way (from the Romney bio)
