- The Maricopa County Superior Court’s ruling today was the right one, & it reinforces what has been our position since Day 1: Prop 208 represented a brazen attempt by out-of-state interests to override the state Constitution & impose the largest income tax hike in state historyMaricopa County Superior Court Judge John Hannah has dealt the final blow to Prop 208. Because the money from the tax hike can't be spent without exceeding the aggregate expenditure limit for K-12 schools, it violates the Arizona Constitution, he ruled.
