I ended up being way nicer to Anthropic here than I thought I was gonna be. Claude Fable 5 is extremely good. And while overbearing, I think the way they handled the cyber/bio safeguards on paper was a lot better than I expected. Unfortunately the classifiers seem to be worse

Downgrading my Mac has felt like a MASSIVE UPGRADE: - 30fps => 120fps - apps stuttering constantly => buttery smooth - looks and feels so much better - 1-2 hours max of battery (yes really) back to 8+ hours - not overheating while running cursor How tf did this happen man...

updated my personal site to have a guide for how I setup my mac as long as you're not on the liquid ass update I still think macos is by far and away the best os right now, and if you set it up properly it feels like linux I have caps lock as my hyper key, so I can press: -

TanStack Start is really good, so happy that React finally has a good meta framework It feels like everything I love about SvelteKit brought over to React: - server functions - loaders - isomorphic rendering: stuff can run on both client & server to get best of both worlds. I

Just found out my friends $4M ARR startup has been using their Supabase private (service_role) key instead of their public key on the frontend for months They even passed their SOC2 compliance with it exposed

- ecosystem is awful, uv helps a ton but .venv land is hell - syntax is not pleasant - async stuff feels weird and slapped on top - T Y P E S - slow - try catch spam to not have your code constantly explode (I'm too effect pilled man) - the logging and errors just suck
