- Please remind the @duponline every time, again and again, the border in the Irish Sea was caused by Brexit, not the EU, not the Irish government, not the majority in NI that wanted to stay in the EU. You @duponline caused this, you agitated for it, you own it. It's your fault!
- Let’s call it a “Lock-in” not a “Lock-down””. Lockdown sounds so brutally American with macho SWAT teams shouting at people, but a Lock-in is much more Irish. It’s gentle, homely, evoking craic, chats, slow pints, & small ones. Crucially, it’s all a bit bold too! #CoronaLockin
- My 84 yr old mother in law in Belfast got vaccinated yesterday, will get 2nd jab on Jan 21s and will be free to live her life. My 85 yr old mother in Dublin has heard nothing from anyone. Two grannies, one island, two outcomes. This is pathetic. Get our vaccine act together🤔
- Todays' Ukrainian application to the EU means the EU loses Boris Johnson but gains Volodymyr Zelinsky. Not a bad trade, wouldn't you say???
- In 1953, when Winston Churchill was prime minister for the last time, 91 per cent of Irish exports went to the UK. Today, that figure is 11 per cent and falling. The affair is over. Let's move on and not worry too much about what is happening over there. The world has changed.

- Was in Berlin on Sunday, going to small gathering where host asked us to get a test as precaution. Got a test. Results by email in 15 min. All free. Testing site was portacabon on side of the road. Hassle free, no drama. Negative, no brainer. Everyone happy. Life goes on.
- What is wrong with us? Brilliant young woman politician goes out with friends, dances the night away and the moral police get all incensed, meanwhile blokey politicians get up to all sorts and ......nada!
- Please make all this #LeavingCert BS stop. It is a giant pub quiz - nothing more; which rewards a certain, narrow type of intelligence & humiliates hundreds of thousands of other, highly creative, beautiful minds.
- Might it also be an idea to publish everyday daily vaccination numbers as well daily Covid numbers? A comparative vaccination table, measured against other countries, wld give people a sense of light at end of the tunnel, plus inject a needed dose of urgency into the rollout.
- Why are our Ireland’s vaccine plans so slow? Contrast with the 250,000 Israelis vaccinated already & they plan to vaccinate 150,000 a day, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Can a medic tell me why we can’t replicate this or something close it it? This is an emergency!
- Jesus, there's a war going on where civilians are being butchered hourly and all Twitter is worried about is some multi-millionaire actor hitting another multi-millionaire actor a slap. Who cares?
