- Every human should be treated with respect & dignity; every human life should be held as sacred
- NAYC Observation #4: The church isn’t compromising or declining. Future is in good hands & so is present; youth are part of today’s church.
- Florida school shooter was arrested by police officer who is UPCI member. He was led to find him & enabled to stop him without incident.
- NAYC Observation #3: UPCI youth are committed to sound doctrine, heartfelt worship, move of Spirit, holiness, gender distinction, modesty
- As Christians, we strongly oppose the violence at the Capitol, just as we oppose the burning of buildings and looting of stores. We must uphold the rule of law, democracy, and the electoral process. Any political discussion must be separate & can’t justify such violence.
- If Noah had tried to be saved merely by intellectual agreement & verbal profession instead of active obedience to God’s command, he would have drowned
- NAYC Observation #2: United Pentecostal Church International is multiracial, multicultural, diverse geographically and generationally
- (2) The church should be the church. The answer for our nation is not in politics but in the gospel. Let’s not get distracted. As never before, we must proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
- The recent Asbury University revival seems to be one of prayer and repentance, which our nation needs. We can acknowledge these initial steps, respond to students' hunger for more of God, and pray for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Ghost.
- We don’t need to change the Apostolic message or lifestyle in order to be relevant, for God’s plan is always relevant
- Through tongues & interpretation God spoke to the General Board about growth: “The time is now.”
- As individuals we can participate in politics; as a church we should take a stand on relevant moral issues but don’t promote a partisan political agenda
- Plan our music & worship so that all can participate; not so praise leaders are performers and congregation are merely observers
