Today we had another deadly shooting in Maryland. Yesterday, there were shootings in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The number of people needlessly dying from gun violence is staggering. Prayers are not enough. Another day without action means more lives lost. This is unacceptable.

The Trump admin. is systematically locking up thousands of children at unheard of rates - now a staggering 12,800. My opponent dismisses this by saying “it’s not a simple issue.” I think it’s a very simple issue – detaining these children is reprehensible. cbsn.ws/2p4QZZr

Actually @amieformaryland it’s a very simple issue. Ripping children from their parents‘ arms and putting them in cages is immoral and cruel, period, end of story. And anyone who refuses to condemn it unequivocally is complicit in allowing it to happen.
