The raid on the UCSC encampment started last night. I wake this morning to find that they are still fighting the cops and refusing to budge. “Disclose, divest, we will not stop, we will not rest” #FreePalestine
Around 2:50am Cal Poly Humboldt occupation raided. Dozens of arrests. The only reporters on the ground were part of student news and they weren’t in the buildings so it is unclear what happened to folks inside the intifada hall. #FreePalestine
The fighting is finally over. It looks like the camp on the ucla campus looks like it was hit by a tornado. The police didn’t even clean, they just broke the protesters things.
An undergrad at UCD supporting the grad/postdoc strikers just got summons to Student Judicial Affairs. If this student wants support, we need to show up en masse. #FairUCNow
@reclaimuc@NationalSJP Students in Humboldt being suspended!
"Dear [Student Name] :
After consultation and concurrence from Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Success, Dr. Chrissy Holliday, I hereby place you on interim suspension from Cal Poly Humboldt."
Also worth noting, this is a bad day for UCD to be thinking about punishing undergrads given that today is the 11th anniversary of the pepper spray incident.
Not feeling great that Mayor Steinberg is gonna be the UC UAW mediator. He's deeply involved in a billion dollar UC project (aggiesquare), and I’m hearing everyone in the development neighborhood hates it. And all the racial justice folks don’t trust him either.
Around ~2:50 am, police raided the Cal Poly Humboldt occupation. Here is a video from KMUD News of the police entering the main quad. Dozens arrested. #FreePalestine
In the shadow of this bad contract ratification, we need to come together for mutual aid so those thrown under the bus can have a community of support. The contract was never going to be the vessel of liberation. We make it happen. Let’s stay connected.
