Isn’t primary sex education ‘this is how a baby is created’, and ‘don’t let anyone touch you’?I do not want primary school children full stop to have sex education. Nor do I want children to be taught about changing gender. We need to protect their innocence and childhood.

- The idea that ‘childhood trauma’ means you have a unique and useful insight into the human condition, and that it is somehow a prerequisite for ‘good writing’, is one of the most horrid americanisms& that’s that!!
- Replying to @danwaterfieldtorturing him. The thing is, he didn’t want to appear cowardly, so made a point of *not* taking cover, and walked straight into gunfire reciting the shema. Only he & 1 other soldier on that boat survived.
- i would argue that this is what state collapse looks like btw. A slow inability to build new things, to look after the populace, to repair infrastructure. Essentials get more expensive. The elite retreat to enclaves and gated communities.
- Thinking back to when I watched a businessman on a packed train sigh, close a spreadsheet, and open up Age of Empires II.
- In 2 years time there’ll be an article where she is baffled she didn’t get in to Cambridge or Oxford yet someone with A*A*A did, because the latter did something interesting with all their free time.
