- This horse lives his life with purpose. His immense talent is only matched by his immeasurable desire to give his all at every asking. A no-nonsense racehorse, he knows he is the main character. Thank you @TheSaudiCup. Onwards to @RacingDubai. 🙏🏻 @MyRacehorse @ljlmvel @joe_morann
- So proud of this horse. Indebted to Juan Landeros and the whole team including his farrier Wes Champagne, Joe Dowd and of course his partner @ljlmvel. Thank you to @MyRacehorse for the opportunity and thank you to everyone that reached out yesterday, @BreedersCup is so special
- Opening day @santaanitapark. Proud to train racehorses in California. The last 12 months have been a catalyst for change. CA now leads country in safety & medication reform. I support all the changes and will do my part to make it work. CA is my home and I’m staying right here
- So proud of Hit The Road for the G1 win. Super intelligent, talented horse. Unbelievable ride @flothejock. Indebted to @CraigRounsefell for finding, @kingsequineinc for breaking, Wes Champagne for shoeing, Santos Rivas his groom & Juan Landeros my assistant & his regular rider 🙌🏼
00:00 - What we’ve learned in California is it’s possible to have racing with almost no catastrophic injuries. To achieve this, everyone's routine has to change. Yes change not easy & additional veterinary scrutiny can be frustrating, but this is only way to ensure future for the sport
- The biomechanics of this racehorse are mesmerizing. Champion sprinter STRAIGHT NO CHASER taking Juan Landeros for a spin around King Abdulaziz Racecourse. So thankful to be his trainer and follow this horse around the world. Video courtesy of @TheSaudiCup @MyRacehorse
00:00 - PET scan is a game changer. This horse: v mild intermittent lameness to LF...blocked to lower limb...nothing significant on X-rays. PET scan video shows normal RF fetlock followed by LF fetlock with sesamoid activity clearly visible @santaanitapark @ucdavisvetmed @IamHorseRacing
00:00 - Thank u to everyone that’s reached out the last few days. All the calls & texts mean a lot. My family evacuated Tuesday night, but thankfully we are safe and the house is ok. Horses at Santa Anita are healthy. Sadly many families in our area lost everything
- Sad to report we have to scratch Hit The Road from @BreedersCup Mile as he has a fever. So disappointed for his great group of owners. Unbelievably bad timing and bad luck. We will get him healthy, regroup and point for the next race.
- Happy re-opening day everyone. Best of luck to the horsemen, owners and all the horseplayers out there. @santaanitapark @TVG #reopeningday #iamhorseracing
00:00 - Happy to report SNC is doing well this morning. Time to head back to 🇺🇸. Looking forward to regrouping at home for the next one. Video from this morning and more thoughts here ▶️
00:00 - This is already dividing opinions across the industry, but for better or worse it’s happening. To the owners and breeders that have long been in favor of medication free racing in the USA...now is the time to support California trainers and California racingAn open letter on the future of Thoroughbred racing in California > bit.ly/2F0yVYa
