Well done, Korea! Giant air purifiers displaying the CO2 level the moment I step into the airport terminal. Far UV-C disinfection in restaurants, air purifiers inside elevators, building windows consistently opened. I NEVER see this in Canada. #COVIDisAirborne #CovidIsNotOver

In the Philippines, the sight of rows of air purifiers at the grocery store and UV-C disinfection in restaurants + cafes tells me that even in this country it's recognized that #COVIDisAirborne. I am proud to say that this is my country of birth! 🇵🇭 #CovidIsNotOver #covid19bc

I'm in Japan. I've spent the last 7 days in a row at packed live music events, packed trains and planes, crowded streets, restaurants, and basically everything I refused to do in Canada. Everyone wears masks. I haven't been sick. Masks ABSOLUTELY work at the population level.

What's even better is that Japan takes more measures than just masks to prevent transmission of COVID in public places. Windows are opened in buildings and on public transit. Big, beefy HEPA air purifiers and UV-C disinfection machines are everywhere.

TBF it's not all great here in Seoul. Rate of mask wearing 😷 in Seoul has dropped, definitely under 50%, much lower than when I was last here (December). Korea gov was eager to drop precautions heading into summer, and I hear coughing and sneezing EVERYWHERE. #CovidIsNotOver

Many people still wear masks because they care about their health + other people's health. @CTVVancouver This reads like it will result in more hate + vitriol directed at mask wearers + advocates. I am extremely disappointed and strongly implore you to retract this. #bcpoli
