- Adding to this! Try using your tracing as your reference rather than the photo reference — photo refs are complex to simplify if you don’t know what to simplify! It’s easier to simplify a tracing :]
Replying to @SavageSmallwoodAnd if tracing photos makes your work look stiff, get better at tracing photos. Don't get bogged down in details and instead train yourself to see the broad strokes and forms.
