THEORY/INFO DUMP THREAD ON PETEY AND HIS TAIL BECAUSE IM INSANE AND PROJECTING RN BC OF MY OWN BAD INJURY (SPOILERS FOR THE DOG MAN MOVIE)
- Replying to @daily_turnipThe moment he's not in control he resorts to shouting and screaming. He's not some master manipulator, which is something I think Petey realizes in this moment too. Grampa resorts to cheap tricks to get his way and he loves when people give him a reaction
- Replying to @daily_turnipthis scene really helps contextualize grampa and his actions really well for me. the first thing he tries is just straight up gaslight petey and try to regain control over him. he didn't get the reaction he wanted, so hes trying to provoke him to get him mad
- Replying to @daily_turnipits clear whatever happened is bad enough that its stuck with him and something that grampa uses as almost some verbal finishing move in their argument, it affects him way more than the other things hes said and done up to that point

- Replying to @daily_turnippeteys tail has always been a huge interest of mine since i got into the series because its always been the one physical sign of the trauma hes experienced but its been shrouded in mystery
- Replying to @daily_turnipim saying all of this because going into the whole argument he has with Petey is important to analyze with these traits in mind. the way grampa approaches this, he phrases it like what happened was peteys fault. its something that makes him a 'loser.'

- Replying to @daily_turnippetey had anger issues as a kid. grampa calls him a hothead, and we see him having outbursts in flashbacks. obviously, these were trauma responses and coping mechanisms, we can tell because lil petey is nothing like that, but theyre obvious enough
