As much as this may have impacted my career, I’m proud I was able to come back from such an injury. Not many expected me to return, but managed it with help from many people along the way. I’m proud of the career I’ve had since & privileged I’m still able to lace up my boots 🏉

Scary day that. Game has not gone soft... just can’t tackle people in the face... the context of how contact is made to the head is irrelevant... if you can’t get low enough to avoid the head then you should be penalised. Only get one brain 🧠 needs to be looked after 🤷🏻‍♂️
I watched on as @czeksyboy had a seizure, turned purple and was intubated during a game following a knock to the head. The subsequent anger, depression, erratic sleep patterns and forgetfulness that were attributed to Grade 3 Concussion were equally as hard to watch.

Some are missing the point of this contact with the head debate in rugby. It’s totally irrelevant how contact is made... intentionally, accidentally.. doesn’t matter. The rules are there to reduce the risk of life changing brain injuries which affect more than just the player.

Proud to have completed Level 3. Really enjoyed it & have learnt so much. Very different being on the other side. Huge thanks to the coach educators & guest presenters on the course, as well as the teams & players who allowed me to gain the experience needed 🏉

Not too many people know this about me. Managed to find time, along side rugby, to pursue my second passion 🙌🏼 This is me mid silver medal winning dive in Warsaw 2008 🥈
On this day in 2008, ex-Welsh rugby International Chris Czekaj, son of Toni Czekaj, won silver in the Polish Winter National Diving Championships
