- No biomedical organization should hold a conference in a state that outlaws abortion.
- Massive news: eLife to abolish accept/reject decisions: papers will just be “peer reviewed”. Others can argue about this, but lots of interesting consequences. 1/9
- Amazingly common at scientific meetings these days: response to introducing two people, “No we haven’t met, but we know each other from twitter.”
- Mask-wearing "the single most effective public health measure at tackling Covid, reducing incidence by 53%”
- RIP Lubert Stryer - his Biochemistry was my first college textbook, a gift from the lab where I had a summer job
- New bioRxiv feature: in-line figures for everyone! You can now print (or save as PDF) all articles with in-line figures, regardless of how the authors origiunally formatted them 1/n
- Will the last scientist to leave the UK please turn out the lights
